Wireshark found something odd. What is this?
#1
Hi all,

I was scanning my network traffic at home using Wireshark.  I noticed my laptop, running LM 19, suddenly started a connection to a location I have never seen before.  It is:  dualstack.t2.shared.global.fastly.net

Have any of you seen this before, or know why my system is connecting to this?

Thank you,
Steve

Do you have XAMPP installed?

Hmm, according to whois, I had to get an ip address from that domain, fastly.net is a CDN. So I expect someone is using it for delivering large payloads, like video or something.

Try googling fastly.net
Should there be smoke coming from my CPU??

Hi Cthulhu,

I just checked...I do not have that installed.

Hi smartin,

I did do all that.  Seems like some kind of cloud network management.  It's just weird, as I have no part in such things.  More investigation to do...

Thank you,
