makescript - a scripting framework
#1
The makescript framework has now been released.

The makescript script creates the initial framework for your script using the options you provide. The script will include a --version option, and depending on the options provided, a --help option, an empty arguments test, and an option iteration framework, which can use both short and long options. Makescript will as a default create your scripts in ~/bin. It will also set the executable bit, and, hopefully, open an editor.

The editscript script will edit scripts created with makescript. If you add a reason for editing, it will include that in the history section of you script. It also makes a backup of each versions of your scripts, so that you'll have the option to revert to a previous version, if needed. This script will also, hopefully, open an editor for you.
