Losing wireless connection while downloading
#1
Good day folks, Mint noob here

Having a small problem with my desktop computer where if I'm downloading a large file, say over 1GB, I lose my wireless connection towards the end of the download.
Once the wireless connection is lost, I cannot get it back. Turning the wireless off and on still results in no wireless connections available. Normally there's about 15 wireless connections visible from my house.

Anyway, the solution is to remove the USB wireless stick and re-insert. All is well after this. Any tips on how to figure out what the problem is? I'm running the latest version of Linux Mint

I suggest the USB wireless dongle is faulty or overheating. Can you try another?

It's possible.....I don't have another one to try but it is very old now. I think I'll try something more modern. Anyone have a recommendation for a top notch USB wireless adapter that works well with Mint?
