Linux Mint install failed / computer wont boot Windows 7 or Linux from USB
#1
I tried to install Linux Mint from a USB but it failed. Now my laptop won't boot up at all.  Not Windows 7, not Linux from the USB.  Is there some way I can still install Linux Mint.  I am a total newbie!

Hi.  If your laptop has a DVD drive and you have access to another computer with a DVD writer, you can burn the Linux Mint .ISO file to a DVD disk.  If your laptop can boot from that DVD, you can install from it.  A few details about your laptop might help.

Hi:

When you tried to install Mint, did you just take the option that says "install alongside windows" or are you trying to install mint itself to an external drive and leave windows on it's own drive?
