Unable to access website on Linux Mint
#1
I'm trying to access the following URL from my Linux Mint (18.3) laptop: http://help.payprotec.com/

I can access it no problem from a Windows PC (cough cough).

But from Linux I get the following error message:

This site can’t be reached
help.payprotec.com’s server IP address could not be found.
DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

I've tried several browsers: Chrome, Brave, Firefox, all with the same result. And I've tried using https, but it reverts back to http.

I note that some of the helpful prompts suggest checking my firewall, but I don't think I have one.

Anybody know what steps I can take to restore access?

does https://www.payprotec.com/ connect?
ask Them. Their help button on that page also directs to http://help.payprotec.com/ and it fails.
they have some sort of server problem.

BTW: your windows pc probably remembers some old page held in it's cache memory
