GDebi terminates when button clicked
#1
I am trying to install the latest version of VirtualBox on Debian 10 through GDebi (I downloaded the first file, which is called virtualbox-6.0_6.0.10-132072~Ubuntu~bionic_amd64.deb). It states that all dependencies are satisfied. But when I click on the Install Package button, GDebi exits without an error message. Restarting the system does not work.

Have you tried it from the command line/terminal?

Code:
sudo gdebi {PACKAGE_NAME.deb}

Thanks, it works. I ran LMDE 3 before Debian and I never came across this problem before.

Awesome! More often than not when gdebi fails for unknown reasons via GUI it works in the terminal.
